My name is Ryan Ramminger and I am a senior at DeForest High School. Some of my hobbies are baseball, hanging out with friends, fishing, water and snow skiing, learning, playing card games and of course, swimming! I normally set a ranking system for myself on what are the important things in life I need to accomplish. First on the list is school, next is swimming and the last is everything else. School is very important to me because knowledge opens the door for many opportunities down the road. I always try my hardest on every project, worksheets and tests always trying to improve my grades. I know that making and keeping good grades are very difficult throughout high school but I always put school first as the number one priority.
I have competed with the Deforest Aquatic Club for seven years and have broken numerous club records. Along the way, I have competed with the Deforest High School swim team for three years. I am currently swimming for the Madison Aquatic Club always looking for ways to improve my athletic ability in whole. I am very proud of my accomplishments in the past few years and I am always looking for better ways to improve my swim season.
I have been coached by many coaches and been taught by many teachers throughout the years and I have always thanked them for their hard work for making sure that I would become successful in whatever I decide to do later in life. I can always work with teachers and coaches to have them help me make the best of academic and athletic careers. I hope to always meet new coaches and new teachers to gain knowledge from them. I have many high goals in life and it all starts with having great teachers and great coaches.
I have recently made a verbal commitment to swim for the UW-Green Bay Phoenix, a NCAA Division One member that competes in the Horizon League, beginning with the 2017-18 season.
