I learned to swim when I lived in the UK. Then my Dad's work took us to Dubai. This is where I really found my passion for the sport, swimming at school, in club and in my spare time. Then another move to the USA. After settling in to the new school academic curriculum, I once again started up with my swimming. A great incentive was qualifying for State in the 12/13 age group & attaining podium with 6th & 7th. I actually gained a zone time but aged up the day prior to Zone. It has been a privilege to swim as a Freshman on the Varsity Team for High School. I have been asked to play soccer, football & cross country, & have enjoyed baseball, but it is difficult to try to play them all, therefore concentrating on my swimming
Having lived in three countries and also travelling, it has given me a great understanding of culture & a different perspective to many of my peers. I am hard working and competitive. I think I am very coachable and am a potential team leader. I also enjoy supporting & encouraging my team members and the younger members of the club. During the summer I attend a camp & love interacting with all age groups, progressing to be a Junior Counsellor this year. On graduating from High School it would be perfect to be able to carry on with my love for swimming in College. I am as yet undecided as to a career path, but will work hard to achieve good grades & have a choice.
