Swimming has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a lake and have been competitive swimming since I was 7, and my love for the sport has never wavered over the years. The hard, long practices, the adrenaline rush before a race, or the feeling of accomplishment after a great swim is what continues to push me to always get better and makes me want to continue swimming at the collegiate level.
I am fortunate to be on a high school team that has experienced a lot of success recently, winning two sectional championships in a row (out of 3 in program history), and being a part of this success has helped me grow even more as a swimmer. I’ve learned how to overcome adversity through the ups and downs of a season and how to come together as a team to still find a way to succeed. I have been a 3 time state qualifier and voted captain for the upcoming season, and being a leader on a strong team has been very important and impactful to me. Finding a good school that fits me both academically and athletically is very important to me. My goal is to hold a 4.0 GPA through high school and continue that through college. I think that I have the leadership, teamwork, and athletic skills to be a great contributor to a team.
