Tennis is something I have competed in for almost my whole life. I started playing when I was only six years old. My grandfather is who introduced me to the sport and I immediately fell in love. I play every match as hard as I can and worked to help make myself as well as my team better throughout my high school career. There have been lows and there have been highs, but all of them have made me a better athlete and person.
Events such as winning our district tournament in both singles and doubles has really improved my leadership abilities as well as how i perform under pressure. I have always been able to deal with that pressure, but when I was playing in the finals at the district tournament, the stakes were higher than ever and it only made me better. Other moments such as not making it to state my freshman year have helped me become a good sport and made me strive to be the best I can be. I am a good fit for your program as I will always strive to be the best I can be in all aspects of my college life, including leadership, athletics, academics, sportsmanship, my overall drive to be great.
