Matthew Feng '20 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to eventually become a doctor and help other people. Although the path to my goal is quite laborious, I am willing to work my hardest to achieve it. Similarly, I am willing to put my all onto the tennis court and perform to the best of my abilities each and every day. In singles, I am a top 20 player in the Southern California 16s division and have reached the quarterfinals of  CIF Southern section individuals. In doubles, I thrive at the net and enjoy playing aggressively, as evidenced by my top 5 16s ranking in southern calfiornia. In addition to competition, I volunteer my time to the boys and girls club of Monrovia to teaching children learn the game of tennis. I started the program in the summer of 2017 and and have continued ever since, with great improvement evident in the young players. Academically, I strive to challenge myself and have received straight A’s throughout my highschool career in various AP and honors courses. All in all, I am willing to work my hardest to achieve my goals that I set forth for myself in various aspects of my life.
