My name is Austin Stone and I’m a 2022 graduate from Carpinteria California. I come from a big tennis family. Both my brother and I play, our mom played division 1(James Madison University), and she is currently the Director of Tennis at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racket Club. I am looking to transfer from Westmont College.
This past year, my tennis has improved so much. I got to play against high level division 2 competition and I had decent results playing line 1 in singles and good results playing line 1 in doubles. My current UTR is a 10.86 in singles and an 11.30 in doubles. I recently beat a 12 UTR and have taken sets off of several 11 UTRs in singles. I also have recently beaten 5 teams with 11 UTR doubles players. This past season, I improved my doubles UTR by over a full point and I even won a mother son national with my mom.
I take my academics very seriously. I had a 4.3 GPA in high school. I am looking to switch from my engineering degree to some type of business degree. I prioritize graduating college with a degree.
