At the age of seven, I started tennis lessons. From that time, I developed a passion for the sport. From playing matches locally, and sometimes traveling for matches, I became focused and determined— I was always eager to play my best. When I reached high-school, I was excited to play 2nd singles, and play in the state finals. From playing on my team, I realized my motivation to work to achieve my goal to play tennis in college.
By playing both singles and doubles in many tournaments, I have earned many winning titles and am very motivated to continue to do so.
I’ve learned tennis can also develop skills outside of athleticism, like sportsmanship. I was able to achieve a few best sportsmanship titles, and I am often told by coaches and friends that I have a phlegmatic temperament whilst playing. I have come across incredible players with fantastic style and performance, and have learned much about the game.
Playing college tennis will help me achieve my goals of pursuing my passion and improving my game, while also achieving my academic goals. Throughout the years, I have learned to maintain a good GPA and advance in school and also play tennis competitively. From now until the end of my college experience, I plan to work hard and excel in both my athletic and academic lives.
