My name is Britton Shortle from Lake Mary, Florida. I am 17 years old, 6 feet tall and 135 lbs. I am a Senior at Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park, Fl.
I have been playing tennis since I was 3 years old and began competing in USTA Tournaments at age 9.

2010 - Sportsmanship Award for USTA Junior Team Tennis
2008 - Carlos Goffi Nike Tournament Tough Tennis Camp
2009-2013 - Trinity Prep Boy's Varsity Tennis (8th grade - present) District Champions, Regional Champions, 4th State
2011 - Kelly Award Scholarship winner of $250 toward a tennis program; I had to write an essay for this scholarship and have a Coach recommendation. In all the years of this award they only give out 1 scholarship of $500 but they loved my essay that they donated more money to provide me with the $250 scholarship.
2011, 2012 - UNC Chapel Hill, Tournament Level Camp
2011- Presidential Award for Volunteering ( I currently have 374 hours of community service)
2012 - USTA Jr Team Tennis Florida Sectionals - 3rd Place Team Winners, 2nd in Flight for 18 and Under Intermediate. (I won singles, doubles and mixed doubles in this tournament for the Sanlando Strikers)
Summer 2012 - played 6 tournaments and won 5 Consolations Finals.
2013 - Nominated for George Austin award, an award given to an athlete the demonstrates character, composure, spirit, and class.

I play 3-4 times a week after school in tournament level group and private lessons and work out 2 times a week, along with my college prep school workload which includes AP Chemistry, and Pre-Calculus. My homework is 2-3 hours a night and on weekends.
My career aspiration is to be a Radiologist and study premed in college while playing college tennis.
