Marcel Dawson '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi coach, my name is Marcel Dawson. I love to play tennis and what drives me to play the sport is to glorify God. God is the first priority in my life before anything and I want my dream, to play college tennis, to match up with His will for my life. I deserve a shot to play at the college level because I am an extremely hard worker and understand how to play at a high level.  I also battled shin splints in the latter half of 2019. Through that time of “being in the desert” (I felt that way because it felt like there was no hope of coming back to play), I learned to persevere and to never give up. Also through my perseverance I have recently come back to playing tennis at 100 percent and winning my first tennis tournament back from being injured for 6 months. Thank you. God bless.
