Personal Statement

My parents have always taught me that attitude and effort are the most important factors for anything in life. This is something I take to the tennis court any time I play. Through tennis, I have also learned a few things about myself including my competitive personality. I have played in numerous USTA tournaments and also participated in team tennis throughout my years of playing. On the high school team, I strive to encourage my teammates and help them to do their best. I enjoy playing both singles and doubles and work my hardest to help the team win. As much as I enjoy playing tennis, I realize that academics take priority especially in a college setting. This takes a hard work ethic and strong character and this is what I can bring to the team.
