Jones McNamar '21 Recruiting Profile

My Name is Jones McNamar and I am a Senior at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana where I maintain a 3.62 G.P.A. (1250 SAT). I am the only player to earn a Varsity letter all 4 years. My team has won the State Championship all 4 years. My sophomore year, I played #2 Singles, #1 Doubles, and #2 Doubles. My Junior year, I played #1 Doubles and went 27-0 and my partner and we also won the Individual State Doubles Championship. Senior year, I returned to #1 Doubles with a new partner and went 29-1 and won the Individual State Championship again. I was voted First Team All-State for Doubles my sophomore, junior year and senior year.

I am part of a group of elite players who are released early from school to train with Jeff and Bryan Smith. My UTR is a 10. I am a 3 star recruit (national 252), and my current ranking is #3 for the Class of 2021 in Indiana. I am interested in playing tennis in college since I can not imagine NOT having competitive tennis be a part of my life after high school. I took my first Tot Tennis class at age 4, played in my first tournament when I was 8 and have been playing ever since. My best friends are my friends from all different schools who I have met playing tennis since they are the ones who can understand my passion for the game. Tennis has given me confidence that has transferred over to all aspects of my life. I am my best self on the tennis court. This is evidenced by my being awarded in Nov. 2019 the USTA Central Indiana Junior Sportsmanship Award. Australian Open Doubles Champion Rajeev Ram previously won this award.
