I became interested in tennis through my friend who asked me to join her in tennis lessons at our local YMCA my freshman year. I took lessons during the winter, then I joined my high school tennis team the fall of my sophomore year. I have learned I am a team player, I am respectful to everyone no matter if they're my opponent or not. Any obstacles I've had to overcome would be starting so late compared to everyone on my team. I've had to work from the bottom of the line up to where I am now. I am very coachable, and I can relate to my peers well. I have a strong desire to learn and improve my tennis game.
I plan to graduate with my Core 40 diploma from high school. I am currently undecided on a major to study in college, however I have some potential studies of interest. I was very fortunate to a part of an amazing program, 27 straight sectional titles, 23 regional titles, and 5 semi-state titles. I have learned so much about the value of commitment, teamwork, and sacrifice through tennis. I believe I have the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to be on a collegiate team.
