Andre Martiz '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Andre and I am a 15 year old junior tennis player living in Panama.  I was born in Panama in 2008 but I am a dual citizen (US / Panama).  I am currently ranked #1 U16 in Panama.   In 2023 I represented Panama at the Junior Davis Cup tournament in Guatemala.  I have been playing Tennis since I was 7 but in 2020 when the Pandemic impacted the world it really impacted Panama tremendously.  Due to the Pandemic an other personal issues I was basically not playing tennis for about 2 years.   In June 2022 I had nose surgery and that extended inactivity.   in August 2022 I started to train again and I am happy to be training and competing.  I am actively training in Panama and Miami.   I am making steady progress in my game.  For the 2nd half of 2023 I will be competing in more tournaments in Miami and possibly some ITF Junior tournaments.
