Making first team all-conference is probably the highlight of my high school tennis career but the event that had the most impact on my development as a player was losing in the first round of the regional tournament my Junior year. My aversion for losing pushed me to become a stronger player. Once my senior year came around I started playing singles and rediscovered myself as a player. I began focusing on placement and lowering my amount of unforced errors and it helped tremendously.
I have always done well in the class room. Eligibility was never an issue for me with my 3.5 unweighted and 4.3 weighted GPA. I believe that I not only have the talent and grades to play at the college level but have the important qualities of work-ethic and leadership skills that have immediate positive impact on a team.
