I have been privileged to be a part of winning basketball and baseball teams since I was seven. I have made every team I tried out for, and I have always put in the work that was necessary to meet my goals.
Nothing was ever handed to me and no one has ever out-worked me along the way. I won't stop working and learning until I've nailed it.
In high school I have put countless hours in the classroom, at home studying, in the gym, on the track, and on the courts.
I have a great and supportive network of family and friends and I am a great family member and friend in return. I am kind, honest person with a serious work ethic and a positive attitude.
I want to go to college to learn and earn a degree. And I want to play tennis for my school's team while doing so.
Selecting college prospects is serious business, and I am a super candidate for YOUR classrooms and YOUR courts.

This is what he had to say about Matt Folgia-Dear Prospective College Coach/Recruiter/Administrator: My Name is Maxi Estevez, I am a current tennis professional. I am a tennis trainer and tennis advisor for Matt Folgia. I have had the privilege to train Matt since July, 2021. I was surprised and impressed to learn that Matt had only been playing for a little more than year when we first connected, as he showed an advanced skillset that belies his years of experience. I was not surprised to learn that he made the Varsity team as a sophomore, his first time trying out. I have told his parents that it is highly unusual to have progressed in the sport in such a short time span. Since we began training together on technique, fitness, and nutrition, I have found Matt to be incredibly attentive to details, to follow instruction without fail, and to possess a high degree of physical conditioning. In just a few short months, our training yielded amazing results. Matt improved at a great rate, and he showed commitment to improvement with every drill and repetition. He never says “no”-he pushes himself to his limits every session. He is truly my favorite student. Matt has a very high “ceiling” and great potential. He is still growing physically- as he is a “young” junior. With his continued commitment and trajectory, and with his proven track record of success in team sports (demonstrated previously as he has played on NJ State Champion travel baseball teams, runs Varsity Cross Country, and plays JV Basketball), his proven track record in the class room, and with his tennis acumen, I am certain that he will be a great asset to your college tennis program. I am so excited to see his tennis career to continue to unfold, look forward to his continued success, and know that great things are in store for Matt on the tennis court.
