Pavel Ofitserov '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Pavel Ofitserov. I graduate in 2024 and currently live in Ottawa, Canada

I was born in Eindhoven, The Netherlands and started playing tennis at 5 years old. I started off by playing tournaments and practicing at my local club but pretty quickly got noticed by the Dutch Tennis Federation and got offered to train at their high performance program where my serious tennis journey began. Around 12 years old I was training 3-5 times a week, including physical and mental training and began playing in some Dutch national tournaments where I found success being in the top 20 national rankings for the u12, u14, and u16 categories up until I moved to Canada at 15 years old.

In Canada I started playing provincial tournaments and played for my high school team with great success. In the 2023 season me and my doubles partner qualified to the provincial tournament in Toronto and ended up getting third. The experience of playing for my high school team made me realize that I want to pursue a college tennis team. I really enjoyed practicing in a competitive environment and learning from my teammates and coach while still playing the individual sport that I love.

Lately I've been enjoying playing and improving at tennis more than ever and plan on playing more tournaments in Ontario with the goal of winning one of them. I hope to be a good addition to your tennis team and strive for success in this next part of my life.
