Hello, my name is Anthony Villella. I am a Junior at Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy in Erie, PA. I am a highly committed tennis player. I compete in USTA tournaments and I reached a ranking of 35 in Middle States for Boys 16's. My UTR is a 9. My freshman year, there was no tennis team in my school district. I played the District-10 AA singles Championships and won; advancing to States. My Sophomore year I started a tennis team for our School District along with helpful parents and administrators. We performed well, going 11-2 for the season and losing in the District Finals. I made it to the Singles district semifinal as well as the Doubles finals; losing to the eventual state champions. More importantly than my tennis abilities, however, I am very focused on my academics. I have made Summa Cum Laude every year; earning a 4.25 career GPA and being in the top 15% of class at one of the top highschools in Pennsylvania. I am also a member of the jazz band and Model UN club. I am hoping to find thhe right school for me to play tennis at the college level.
