Hello College Coaches,
Since I was a young boy a ball was always in my hand whenever I wasn’t eating or sleeping. I played a variety of sports growing up in Minnesota. When I was in 8th grade my friend’s dad asked me if I had ever considered playing tennis. That spring I joined the tennis team and had a blast. Then my family made a big move from Minnesota to Texas. I absolutely loved tennis so much I wanted to continue to play at my new High School. As a freshman, I was at the bottom of JV2, but I was motivated to get to the varsity team. Through this process, I learned the value of hard work, determination, and having fun. Currently, as a Senior I am 2nd on the varsity team. Weekly lessons with my private coach have been important to my continued growth. With this coaching, I am also learning the significance of mental toughness in tennis. It is important for me to be a part of a college program that is a good fit both academically and athletically. I am considering majoring in business. Playing on a high school tennis team has taught me the value of team chemistry and I look forward to a college program with a great team tennis connection.
