It has always been a dream to compete at the collegiate level. The though of having that opportunity to play for a recognized and well know organization is one that cannot be beat. I grew up in San Antonio Texas for the first 11 years of my life. I enjoyed playing flag football but my main focus was basketball. This all changed when I moved out to Boerne, a small town outside of San Antonio. I was unsuccessful in making the junior high basketball team, therefore I tried out for the tennis team for fun. I ended up enjoying the sport and next thing I knew I had sunk all my time and effort into tennis. I focused on what was in front of me, to be the best tennis player that i could possibly be. Fast forward 4 years to where I am competing at a competitive level and having the best time. It taught me that you have to be able to manage yourself and have a plan. To be able to maintain that balance of sports and academics along with the many other things going on in life is such a valuable skill to retain.
