My goal is to pursue a degree in a business-related field and eventually obtain an MBA. I desire to incorporate my passion for tennis and the pursuit of my studies while attending college. Playing tennis at the college level would be a dream-come-true. I did not start playing tennis until right before my freshman year in high school. I was fortunate to be on a team with very skilled and excellent tennis players. We were ranked the #1 boys team for division 3A my freshman year, and we were ranked the #1 boys team for division 5A in the state of Texas my sophomore and junior year. Unfortunately, with so many talented players, I did not play much my freshman and sophomore years. My upperclassman teammates were inspirational for my passion for tennis and my desire to continue playing after high school. I feel that I have a lot of potential as a player and have not come anywhere near to peaking, talent-wise. I believe that I am extremely coachable and I am eager to learn as much as I can about the game.
As I continue to grow physically and mentally, I am excited to take on the future role of both athlete and leader. I plan to be a dynamic player and an asset to the team. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches, and the school I attend.
