I have been playing tennis since 3rd grade and playing competitively since 5th grade. I later realized that I lacked some of the skills that I needed to succeed, such as movement around the court, fitness, and physicality. To improve those areas, I decided to play football in the fall of my freshman year. Football not only helped me with those areas but also with learning how to be a good teammate. Most tennis players have only played for themselves, so it can be tough for them to learn how to be a good teammate. Playing football has helped me tremendously in that aspect, and I believe I could come in on day one and be a leader on any team. My goals for collegiate tennis are to win and to be a good teammate while doing so. Whether it be a conference championship, a national championship, or anything in between, I want to do all I can to help bring success to my school on the tennis court. What sets me apart from other student-athletes, though, is a passion to succeed in everything I do. I wake up every day wanting to be the best tennis player, the best student, and best person I can be.
