Hello my name is Michael Howell. I am currently a senior at Veterans Memorial High school, in Mission,TX . I was born in Mission,TX. I am currently 6'0 and 175pds. I am Right handed and my primary choice is Singles but I love to play doubles as well. In my own words plain and simple I am a competitor, I love the game of tennis. Since the age of 5 I have played the game. I respect the game and all the opponents I have played against. I have had the opportunity to learn the game from different personal/high school coaches. I know without them I wouldn't be the player that I am today. There is always more to learn. When I am not playing Tennis or not in school I enjoy working out Or watching Netflix. I also like to fish and watch sporting events. School and Tennis take up most of my time. I like to lift 3 to 4 times a week, I like the feeling of getting stronger as well as working on my conditioning making sure I am in my best shape, always trying to be better then I was yesterday. When it comes to college I would like to major in Business. If Tennis doesn't work out I would like to get into the business field and open up my own Business. I would love to be the boss of my own company someday. As far as my most important accomplishments I have played varsity Tennis since I was a freshman in high school. My freshman year I started every game at Number 1 seed for my High school . At first it was hard playing with players 4 years older than me, but with in no time I was Able to bring the best out of myself. I won District In Singles as a sophomore , and repeated winning district again as Junior but this time in Doubles , I look to repeat as well with another district title my upcoming Senior year . I was also nominated the the Monitor all valleys player of the year which is an award only nominated to 3 Tennis Players out of the Rio Grande Valley wich consists of over 60+ Highschools. In conclusion I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm a hard worker. I try to be a better student, Tennis player and person every day. Coaches usually tell me that I am very coachable and always open to listening to advice,
Thank you
Respectfully Michael Howell
