I have high aspirations, as any competitive athlete should. I dream of one day becoming a professional player and winning grand slams. On a slightly lower scale my secondary career would be in the field of computer software. If I do not go pro I will work towards a masters degree in computer sciences and software engineering. Otherwise I will graduate with a bachelors and begin my professional career. I will go above and beyond to achieve my dreams, I already practice two and a half hours during school days and 3-5 on both weekend days. I participate in USTA as much as possible, giving me a wider ranger of opponents than just school tennis matches. I don't play the sport for accomplishment, but because I love it; this in turn causes me to become more successful than those who play just to win. I always try my hardest to win, but I have never wished to be anywhere else than in every match I've played. This sport is a lifestyle to me and I center the majority of my life around it: I study the sport and practice as much as possible. I would be willing to sacrifice my social life to play and be successful at this sport. As for academics, they have never been to big of a problem for me. I got straight A's until high school, as even now I have never failed a class. The difficulty of my work is heightened through me being in the IB program. The IB is a higher learning course similar to AP, but with higher standards and a larger push towards building stronger personalities and academic talents among the students. I believe college course will not interfere with my performance in the sport, as I will have no trouble balancing my time among them, allowing for maximum court time.
