My name is Ken Higgins from Walla Walla High School, I'm a 6'2, 170 lbs scholar athlete. My goal is to play college tennis. I'm the number one tennis player at Walla Walla High School, and I've played that position for three years. I've made it to regionals for two consecutive years, and made Second-Team All-Conference my Sophomore year. Our team won the District 8 Regional title on May 21, 2023, and I qualified for the State Tournament in Vancouver, WA. Also, I've played Varsity basketball for the past two years at Walla Walla High School, and led the team in three point field goals. I lift weights four days a week at 6 a.m, and I am one of the strongest students in the school for my weight. I'm a Honor Scholar Athlete for both basketball and tennis, and I'm a member of National Honors Society. I maintain a 3.65 GPA and take numerous AP courses. Some tennis highlights from my Junior year are my 14-8 record this season, and all of my losses have come from players that have UTRs ranging from 8-10 and they advanced to state last year. I was competitive in all of these matches this year. I've spent more time playing basketball, but have started evening my time out to continue to improve my tennis skills. I have multiple big parts of my game including my serve and groundstrokes, my serve has been clocked at 120 mph and I have a very effective kick serve. I hope to pursue a career in communications or education. I'm a good candidate for a team because I work hard and I'm a fierce competitor. Any coach that puts me in their program is going to get a reliable student-athlete who is ready to work and win. Please reach out if you'd like to learn more about me.
