Throughout my volleyball seasons, I have learned the value of mental toughness and strategy. They are equally important to the physical factors of the game. Volleyball is my passion and I believe I have the work ethic, commitment, and integrity to play and the college level. Both on and off the court I am known for my optimism and enthusiasm. I am very supportive of others and like to help in any way I can. Along with that, I’m a motivated and hardworking individual who will consistency give 100%. I believe these characteristics are crucial in being a great volleyball player. During a game, it is critical to always stay positive and never get down on yourself and or the team. Whenever my team is down, I feel obligated to use words of encouragement. I personally focus on having optimism when mistakes are made on the court whether I make the mistake, or my teammate does.
Academically, I am sharp minded and always looking for a challenge. In school I always strive to do my best on all of my work and maintain good grades. Like volleyball I give it my all and I put in the work the first time so then I don't have to do it a second time. I love to stay organized to make sure I get things done well and on time. I am very timely and goal oriented which helps me stay on track and I believe this is a great skill to have both on and off the court.
I believe I am a good fit for the DS/Libero position because I am scrappy, I can read the ball, and I am driven. I also do track so that gives me the advantage of speed, strength, endurance, and mental toughness. I am coachable and I learn new things quickly. I am a good listener and I take critisim will because I want to know what I can improve on. I am not afraid to fail because I know I am trying and failing is the first step in success.
