My goal for college tennis is to join a team with a strong passion for success on and off the court. Creating great friendships with my teammates to develop team chemistry goes a long way towards success. Having a good relationship with all my teammates is also very important, because sometimes hanging out off court can be just as fun as on the court. A positive attitude and support are two traits that make me a great addition to any team. Being negative on court, whether to your teammates or yourself, has no benefit. I make a point to lift my teammates up so we can compete at our best. These traits helped me when 3 state titles. What sets me apart from other recruits, is my ability to adapt and overcome. In academics, athletics, and in life, when faced with a roadblock, the only way to go is to power through. This mentality helped me in situations, such as being down a set and a break in a match, and in classes that at first seemed nearly impossible. Most importantly, my adaptability helped me live my life after my father passed away of lung cancer when I was ten years old. This was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. After a few hard years, I chose to face the loss head on and come up with a plan to live my best life. This sets me apart from the rest because no matter what challenges I face, I will always keep fighting.
