Ever since I was four years old, I have played a variety of sports. 7 years of football, 7 years of baseball, 5 years of soccer, 4 years of basketball, 5 years of volleyball, and 5 years of tennis. I fell in love with the competitive aspect of sports and my drive to become a better athlete only grew as time progressed. Constantly playing sports throughout my whole life has taught me the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and respect.
I have played 1 singles for my highschool team freshman, sophomore, and junior year. I qualified for state my sophomore year and our team also won conference the same year. I have received first team all conference awards for my freshman and sophomore seasons. I am now team captain of my highschool team going into my junior season. When highschool season ends, I attend multiple camps such as the Whitewater Tennis Camp. I belong to Lake Geneva Tennis and I train there 2-3 times a week throughout the off-season. In Wisconsin it is quite cold in the off-season, however, I am still training indoors consistently. I also work very hard in the weight room and I lift 4 times a week.
Although I spend a large portion of my time training and working out, academics are still my number one priority. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.9 which is unweighted. I have taken 4 AP classes, passing all with an A, and I have taken all honors classes possible. I scored a 27 on my ACT. I am in a few clubs such as the Association of Business Students and the National Honors Society and I competed in DECA which is a competition for business students.
The one thing that differentiates me from others is my determination on and off the court. Every single point I am willing to grind from the baseline and get as many balls back as possible. My speed is one of my biggest strengths as it helps my defense. I understand the truth that you will only get out however much you put in to something. I put in a large amount of time and effort into this sport because I know that I have great potential and I want to rise up to be my best. I am very coachable and I am always looking to learn and improve. I will give 110% effort on your team everyday and I believe that I am a great candidate for you.
