In track and field, I hope to continue improving through hard training, teamwork, and the expertise of college-level coaches. In academics, my goal is to acquire a solid background in medicine or bioengineering. I would like to have options after college in track, biology, and medicine.
I take coaching very well and am open to adopting new techniques and conditioning. I believe I am a friendly, inclusive person and I've been told I'm a natural leader. I was asked to be a team captain in my junior year. I celebrate the successes of my teammates and enjoy competition, within the team or otherwise.
I am extremely coachable and thrive in a team environment. I always try to listen to what a coach says and use that to incorporate into my technique or change it altogether. I truly enjoy the feeling of improvement, whether it's academic, social maneuvering, athletic ability, or even mundane things. Track wouldn't be track without the team, relays, and the journey. These components allow me to focus on myself and the team around me. Everyone wins, and I like it that way.
