My name is J. Ryan Weston. I started running cross country my freshman year of high school just to stay in shape for the high school basketball season after playing competitive basketball all my life. During the season I found that I had a love for competing in running and a desire to get better. After the basketball season my freshman year, I decided to run track and eventually chose running over basketball. I am very fortunate that I found running and have ambitions to run in college. I have learned a lot about life through track and cross country and understand I must put in the effort every practice. My performance matters to me not only on the track but in the classroom as well. My proven success in school shows that I take academics very seriously. I strive to be a great person bringing positivity to the team and always cheering people on. I am motivated to grow and be the best student-athlete I can be.
