I was introduced to running when I was 12 years old. I dreaded even the thought of running when I began. It wasn't until the start of my freshman year that I found my passion for the sport. Running has completely changed my perspective on life. It brings me joy; the adrenaline, the success, and the connections I've made, all make the pain worth it.

Running has taught me to work. Getting up at gam to run long miles before school is no easy task. I am ready for any challenge. Being the team captain of my high school cross country team has taught me how to be a leader. Being a leader is not given by a title; a true leader shows the way. I strive every day to make a positive impact on my team.

Accepting feedback from my coaches and making suggested changes has made all the difference in improving my running times. Looking at my sk, my first race as a Freshman was a 19:47, and my current PR as a Junior is a 16:29.

When looking for a college, I am searching for a school that places high emphasis on academics, while helping me grow into a greater athlete. I am a committed student athlete with a 4.57 GPA, ACT 29, and SAT 1330, as well as multiple academic achievements from my school's administration.

Additionally, I am the president of my school's chapter of National Honor Society and Concert Master of the Chamber Orchestra. All of this has prepared me to take on new challenges at the next level. I am excited to embark on my collegiate journey.
