Personal Statement
To the coach reading this, I am the first to admit that I am not the best. I am not a natural-born athlete; that will break every record. I am, however, a hard-working kid with a chip on his shoulder. Though I acknowledge that there will always be people better than me, that notion does not stop me; I will never stop striving to be better. So to answer the question "why should you chose me" over every other kid, it's because when you pick me, you're picking someone who responds to criticism and will work to get better. I am an athlete who understands how much of a privilege it is to compete, and I will always fight for my team.
