My name is Timothy Wright. I am a cross country and distance track & field runner for Springdale High School located in Springdale, Arkansas. I'm adopted and come from a rough childhood but despise what happened in my childhood I haven't let it stop me from chasing my goals This is my 5th year running as of this year. My sister invited my mom, my younger sister as well as myself to her conference meet for her senior year of cross country and I instantly thought it was the coolest sport ever. My first cross country meet I ran like a 26 for 2 miles which wasn't the best but I've nver ran before that but now I hold PR's of 4:46 in the 1600, 2:07 in the 800, 10:31 in the 3200. I plan to break 1:55 in the 800, run 3:45 in the 1500 and run sub 4 in the mile. I also plan to be the first runner in my family to run all through college. I also plan to major in Sports Medicine. I believe I'm a good candidate for any team because I like to put the team before me. I'm willing to to handle any workout as well as running any event where I'm needed. I think what makes me different from other recruits is my character, athletics and academics. I always like to think of myself as a student-athlete bc I like to put school ahead of running. I also am more of a team player and like to help the team grow and not to be selfish with my own goals.
