Even though high jumping six foot as a 5'10" sophomore and going to CIF was my greatest athletic achievement, I believe that my biggest personal achievement as an athlete was made during practice. During my jumping practices I was able to be a leader and help other jumpers reach their potential during the season. I think that my support and encouragement of my teammates throughout the season was just as important as becoming the best jumper that I could be, and I am exited to help future jumpers do the same in years to come.
Over my high school career I have been very blessed to have a very supportive high jump coach who cares just as much for me as he does for my jumps. Track and field has given me a platform to not only become an amazing athlete but an amazing person as well, and I have been able to practice my leadership skills and help others as well as myself through track and field. I am looking for a college program that will challenge me in athletics and academics. Through my sports career I have gained the ability not only to be a great athlete in college but an outstanding leader as well, and there is not doubt in my mind that I can be the athlete and leader that you need on your team.
