My name is Jeffrey Lee Jr., and I am track and field athlete. The reason I am pursuing a higher education in college is to build the foundation necessary to become a lawyer. In a college environment, I aim to learn more about myself, help others, and make an impact on my community. I started running track as a sophomore and loved it so much that I decided to run my junior and senior years. While placing first and winning meets is fun, I believe the most important part of track is the people. I strived to build culture, encourage my friends, and help grow my team. Though the part I look forward to the most at meets is talking to my competitors, despite them racing against me and posing a real threat, I root for, cheer for, and encourage them every chance I get. I believe that competitors are truly your best friend because, without someone pushing you, you'll never reach your full potential. I take my education seriously by taking multiple AP classes and being enrolled in summer and dual enrollment college classes. In terms of extracurriculars, I have taken various leadership positions, such as ASB president and treasurer, student board representative, council vice president and treasurer, and vice president of speech and debate. The reason I chose to involve myself in ASB and these positions was because I wanted to make an impact on my school and help make it a place students are proud to be enrolled at. I then took up the role of ASB president in my junior and senior years to build a strong foundation that others can build upon after I graduate.
