My collegiate goals later on are still developing to be quite frank. I know I want to primary in pole vault and improve upon that. However, I’m willing to branch out and do whatever the team needs. If there’s anything I learned from my high school coach (Cameron Gary) is that you should put your teams needs over your own needs, or team before self. What sets me apart from other athletes is that I’m willing to change and adapt to the coaching style of my current coach. In addition, to my AP and honors classes; I learned how to manage my time and form a schedule around that, prioritizing primary needs from secondary needs. Albeit I may not be the fastest, but I have the tenacity to make self improvements and further enhance my athletic character.
