Mathias Davis 6 f...Personal Statement
I've been participating in track and field since eighth grade. From the moment I competed in my first meet I knew it was something I wanted to do in high school and college. I know that many athletes want to compete on the college level, but I believe through hard work I can.
When I joined my high school team I made a decision to make track and field my top priority. I use every minute of practice to make myself better. I heed my coaches wisdom, and take their criticism very well. I lead on my team by example and encouragement.
Outside of track my other interest is music. I participated in my school band 2014-2015. I played in my school drum line in the 2014-2015 season, and the 2015-2016 season. My favorite music program is choir, I am a section leader and student piano accompanist.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself academically and athletically. I want to be able to compete with the best and make my parents proud.
