I have always been a competitor at heart. From baseball and golf as a youngster to achieving my black belt in martial arts and playing football in high school, I’ve relished all athletics. Track and Field is relatively new to me, but it is the sport I’ve come to love the most. As a 6’0, 170lb athlete, I am working hard to break my high school’s 100m and 200m records- both on the books since 1999. We are also closing in on the 4x100 record, on the books since 1981. As team captain, I believe in encouraging my team and giving shoutouts to people who achieve the goals they set - no matter how big or small. I am hopeful I will bring this same skill set, perspective, and camaraderie to my college team.
I am interested in studying environmental science or biological science at an academically competitive university. I do not have a specific type of school in mind, but I have worked hard to achieve a 3.63 weighted GPA which includes several AP/honors classes. I value education and want to attend a college with a hands-on science program so I can learn how to make an impact through either sustainability or health. From the beginning of this process, my goal has been to add value as a team member at a school that feels like an athletic and academic fit.
