Personal Statement

Personally, I look forward to running, as often as I can.  Being able to run and to compete with my teammates and others drives me to become a better competitor.  I enjoy and take pride in knowing that the work I put in will reflect in my competitions.  The sense of achievement I get from pushing my limits, without anyone controlling how hard I work, in my opinion, was missing from baseball.  And, after another successful cross country season, I continue to set concrete goals for both XC and TF and will work towards them with dedication and a growth-oriented mindset.

Looking ahead, I am focused on finding a school that will work well with my interests in design and advertising, and, equally as important, will be a fit competitively as a runner.  I am a hard-working student, an extremely hard-working athlete and a devoted teammate looking for a program I can dedicate myself to and grow with.

Thank You,

Tomo

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
