I am looking for a college with a high academic standards, as well as a Cross Country and Track and Field program. Academically I would like to graduate from college with a degree in Aerospace Engineering or Physics, while remaining open to other possibilities.
I started running when I was 11 years old and have been training ever since. Throughout the years, my running has consistently improved and I intend to train in order to continue that trend. I would love to run in college. Running is not only something I enjoy doing, but something I look forward to in my life. My years of training have enabled me to achieve consistent growth as I have gotten older and continued to compete at different levels. I have made drastic improvements in my times in both XC and Track. This training has also taught me to be open to criticism and instruction in order to do what it takes to make myself a better athlete and a faster runner. As for events, I can be versatile runner and can range from 800-5000 in a race situation.
Personally, I believe I stand out due to my experience and my academic success. While I am easy going , I strive to achieve my goals. I consider myself to be a respectful person. I am respected by my team and I, in turn, respect them. This mutual respect has enable me to form a strong bond with my team which has led us to success, especially this XC season. I plan to use these attributes to improve and reach my running and academic goals for the remainder of my high school running career and into college.
