Christian Burroughs '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Christian Burroughs and I've been in USATF track and field since the age of 9.  I was 11 years old when I went to my first National Junior Olympics for Mini Javelin, and I've made 5 USATF National Olympic Teams since then, competing in Regulation Javelin, Discus, Shot Put and Hammer.  I am a 4 time Junior All American which I've medaled in Discus,  Javelin, and Hammer.  My best finished was number 1 in the nation for the discus in 2017. In 2021 I was CIF Div 4 Champion in both discus and shot put.  I also broke league and school records, which included a 50 year old shot put record.

I hope to compete on a collegiate level and the strong desire of representing USA in the olympic games. My junior year in high school, I plan to compete in the 2024 Olympic Trails. 

Some of my strong attributes are; being a team leader, very coachable and likable, a self starter, and I'm the first on the field and the last off the field.

In the classroom, I study very hard and maintain a high GPA which prepares me for the next level of education.

I am open to all options, and I welcome the opportunity  to find the right college and program to achieve my life goals in the class and in the ring(s). I hope to continue being a great role model for my peers, and make my parents, brother, and sister proud.
