Ever since I was a young boy I have been working hard to reach the goal of becoming a collegiate track athlete. I have built up my ability and progressed with promise through the first two years of high school. I made great improvements in my junior year cross country season running a 15:38 3 mile. Track season started and I was able to run a 4:24 1600 at the beginning of the season. I was looking forward to hitting my goal of a 4:16 1600 and then the pandemic put an end to the season. I am continuing to train solo and hoping coaches will look at my potential. I am a young junior that has always kept my mileage low. I am looking forward to my senior year and running in college. I try my hardest to show effort and discipline through practices and the race, while also maintaining a strong GPA in challenging classes. Many have potential to become good runners, but not everyone puts in the countless hours and effort to reach that goal, which is one thing that separates me from others. I am excited to further my running career under an optimistic coach that will bring out my full potential as a distance runner.
