Whether it is academics or sports, I strive to excel. Although I only started my running journey my freshman year in high school, the 300m hurdles at the end of my sophomore season (April 2023), and the 110m hurdles in March 2024, track has become an integral part of my life. It is all still very new to me but the exhilaration of pushing my physical and mental boundaries to reach the finish line is a feeling like no other. I have dedicated countless hours training and watching film to analyze my form and improve my technique. Like any sport, I understand it takes discipline, perseverance, and hard work to be great and I am committed to this journey. I also take pride in my academic achievements. I know, like sports, I have to push myself to be successful. I have been in honors and AP classes since my freshman year and have maintained a strong GPA.
I am committed to being a positive and dedicated student-athlete who not only contributes to the success of the track and field team but also adds value to my campus community. Currently, I am involved in student government, leadership and community service clubs. I am excited about my future and I hope to be a part of a college environment that values both academic excellence and athletic achievement.
