Personal Statement

The one constant in my journey since middle school has been running. It wasn't something that I was initially passionate about but over time I saw that through my determination and skill, I was able to consistently better myself. Running has taught me how to be strategic in achieving my goals, work hard and be dedicated not only for my own PR’s, but for the overall success of my team and build a strong work ethic. The habits I created through running allowed me to persevere through Covid, which led to a breakout season my sophomore year. Running has taught me how to have a winning mindset and the ability to look at things from a long term perspective. I'm looking to continue my running career and to push myself academically with the same hard work and dedication in both areas.
