Competing in sports since the age of seven has allowed for me to have a competive spirit for more than half my life, helping me to set goals and achieve them with all my skill. Additionally, competing in varsity sports for three years has put me into a leadership role that I cherish, I hold my teammates' success in as high a regard as my own, and try to guide new teammates with everything I've learned in my time on the track. This competive spirit translates to the classroom as well, and more importantly, helping me to pick the classes that challenge me and open up my mind to new ideals.
