Personal Statement

Running to me has led me to many roads I could have never dreamed off. The fact that I am writing this statement expresses volumes in how I have the potential to run at a high level at any elite college that sees me fit for their team. Running has been an outlet for me to be the absolute best I could possibly be. I am someone who describes myself as hard working, putting in 110% into all I do, and beyond dedicate. My hunger to win and be on top of the competition is what has me strive for greatness. Taking my skills and talents to the next level is my biggest dream. I look to reach goals and break records. I'm someone who never sells myself short as no goal is too out of reach if I believe I can do it. I will be leading my team during my senior year being the number 1 runner. I ran 16:03 3 mile and a 16:56 5k during my Junior year cross country season. I ran JV at the highest level I could and competed for a Varsity spot until I broke my collarbone at CIF Finals in the Southern Region of California. My team went on to win State, I would've been on the team if not for the injury. I look to repeat as State Champions and make it to Nationals this upcoming season. As for track I ran a 4:25.59 1600 and a 1:59.67 800 and made it all the way to CIF prelims which is where my season ended since I didn't qualify for finals. I've had many accomplishments and one is coming this far with only running half a track season my freshman year and having a Covid year as my first official season my sophomore year. In general my Junior year was my first glimpse of real competition and I believe I handled it well and have the potential to make major leaps. I look to break my schools records in the 1600 and 800. They are 4:11.26 and 1:52.84. Many don't believe I can do it but this goal is what describes me as a whole. I want to do the impossible and prove everyone wrong. I want to win and be a legend in the eyes of those who watch me run. My love for the sport and my drive for greatness are qualities I know a team would want. I will do whatever it takes to set my team over the top. I will put my all into everything I do. I won't let any setbacks keep me from reaching my goals. I got that Eye of the Tiger, and my mental game is the best you'll ever see I promise you that. No one wants it more than me. Thank you for your time. I hope this explains the runner I am and who I hope to become.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
