Rowan Nilsen '23 Recruiting Profile

Running has been my sport ever since I was a kid. Growing up I can still remember winning my first community race. I was around eight years old,  and since then I knew running was a gift that I wasn’t going to take for granted. I've played many sports throughout my childhood and lettered in four. I've stop playing all of the other sports to pursue what I love most, which is running. What separates me from all my competitors is my diligence and work ethic. I was recently elected senior class president, and during the pandemic I got up at 5:00 am every morning to play hockey for two hours, attended school on zoom, and then went to football practice from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, all while maintaining a 3.92/4.0 GPA. My main goal is to reach my full potential in my athletic ability and use my leadership to help and motivate my teammates along the way.
