I always wanted to lead by example. I wanted to show my teammates and those around me on how to be successful with what they enjoy partaking in through three core aspects: Humility, commitment, and grit. As an upcoming Senior student athlete, my collegiate goals are to prove that an individual, such as myself is capable of sustaining the ability of balancing both academic and athletic lifestyles at the highest of their capacity. In terms of my character, I'm prone to be very graceful and humble during both practice and at significant meets. I believe that in order to be a successful student athlete, sportsmanship is extremely important and even when I haven't performed my best, I still maintain a positive perspective on how I can get better. Academically, I set goals for myself, challenging myself to be the best student I can be, recognizing that I must manage my time and balance my schedule in order to be successful. I believe it's very important to give back to others, as I have taken the responsibility to help the unfortunate. I've participated in many organizations, such as Guide Right Service Program, which helps mentor young men in learning strong values, leadership, and service to their communities.
