Personal Statement

I love this sport and I love competition. Most of my closest friends are either my teammates or my competitors. I signed up for NCSA because my entire junior year has been largely derailed by illness, and I can’t see myself going to a college where I don’t have the opportunity to run competitively.

I’ve always been a team-oriented runner, and I feel the proudest when I feel I’ve helped an athlete to a new level of performance as a captain, or my performance has contributed irreplaceably to winning a team title. I fully intend to become a coach in the future. I believe in my ability to make a positive impact in any team or group in which I find myself, and hope to inspire a similar faith in my prospective coaches. Contact me!
