I have been passionate about sports for a very long time and I consider myself a multi athlete. I have played baseball since the age of 5. As I got older, and played for middle and high school, my positions included short stop and center field. I was also a relief pitcher. In addition, I play soccer as a defender and right/left wing back. I went out one season for track to help me with my speed and agility, and it just came nature to me. I am now in my second year of running track and the hard work is playing off. Over the years I have put in countless hours of training and practice to improve my skills in all the sports that I play. As I look towards the future, I'm eager to continue playing at a higher level while also excelling academically.
Collegiate Goals:
My primary goal for my collegiate athletic career is to become a valuable member of a collegiate sports team and help lead them to victory in both conference and national competitions. I'm determined to contribute my skills and knowledge to the team while continuing to develop my own abilities as an athlete. Ultimately, I aspire to become a leader on the team and help inspire others to achieve their full potential.
Aspirations:
Beyond just playing a sport, I am eager to use my experience as a student-athlete to help prepare me for future success. Playing sports throughout my middle and high school years has taught me important values like hard work, perseverance, and teamwork, which I know will be invaluable throughout my life. In the long term, I am hoping to pursue a career in Health Sciences and I believe that the skills I've developed through playing sports will be a major asset in achieving that goal.
Why I'm a good candidate:
I believe that I am an excellent candidate for playing on a college team for several reasons. First and foremost, I am deeply passionate about the sports that I play and I am constantly striving to improve my skills and knowledge of the sports that I play. I have experience in playing soccer, baseball, and running track at a high level, and I have had the opportunity to compete in Tournaments and /Championships where I have gained valuable experience playing against top-tier opponents. I'm also committed to my academics, and I know how to balance my athletic and academic responsibilities to ensure success in both areas.
What makes me different:
One thing that sets me apart from other recruits is my unique background and experiences. For example, I have attended the same college prep school since pre-k. It’s a school where the curriculum is very challenging. Throughout the year, I have had the opportunity to volunteer and complete service hours for different organizations. I am a part of the debate team at my school. I am a part of the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy and a valuable member of the bible club, and also a volunteer mentor for the younger grade students.
Being a part of these clubs has also allowed me to develop valuable leadership and communication skills. These skills will serve me well in and out of the classroom. I've also had the opportunity to travel throughout my years with travel leagues and compete against some amazing talented athletes. Because of this, I have gained experience competing against different styles of talent. My diverse background and experiences have helped me develop a well-rounded perspective that I know will be valuable on and off the field.
Conclusion:
I'm incredibly excited about the opportunity to continue playing a sport in college and to be a part of the collegiate team. I believe that my passion, commitment, and unique background make me a strong candidate for the team, and I'm eager to contribute to their continued success.
