I place God before everything in life, closely followed by family, school and running track. Athletics have always been a huge part of my life. I view everyday as a day to get better whether it's my faith, school or going for my pr. I do everything to its fullest capacity and I don't take shortcuts, because I know there is someone out there that is shooting for my spot. My goals in track are to continually shave time off in all my events, (100, 200, 4x100, 4x400) to be able to compete at the highest level. I am willing to explore all my options for schools and teams to find the best fit. I am looking to help my parents out with the finances of my education, through my hard work in the classroom and on the track.
I am very humble and I understand that I am a student of the sport, therefore being highly coachable. I am always willing to learn and compete at my highest capability. I thrive in competition. I don't get involved with anything or anyone that would possibly jeopardize my future or my team. I consider myself someone who stands for truth and honor.
My favorite saying that my coach preaches to us is, "work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." I have many talents and a great work ethic. I believe this combination is an asset to any team. It would be an honor to represent the coach and team that finds me to be a valuable asset, because it would bring out the best in me.
